MEPI Alumni Network
The MEPI Alumni Network connects graduates of the Master of Epidemiology at the University of Antwerp who are contributing to research, public health, policy, and global collaboration across diverse regions worldwide.
The network was created to strengthen long-term professional connections, collaboration, and visibility among alumni working in academia, healthcare, research institutions, NGOs, ministries of health, and international organizations.

A global community
of epidemiologists
While Belgium remains the main hub of the MEPI network, significant alumni communities have emerged across the Global South. Ethiopia and Vietnam currently host the largest alumni groups outside Belgium, followed by Uganda, Peru, Kenya, Tanzania, and Cameroon. This geographic diversity reflects the programme’s growing international footprint and its contribution to strengthening epidemiological capacity worldwide.
